path to

I have been one of the lucky ones to know at a young age that I wanted to be a therapist.  When I was a teenager I had a warm and caring therapist who helped me. That experience is really what started my path.  The educational path led me to graduate from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1996 and then my Masters in Counseling from Saint Louis University in 2001.

I have been Licensed since 2004 in the state of Missouri.

I began my career helping individuals in abusive relationships then transitioned to helping families and individuals through community resources.  I began my own practice in 2006.

I continue to learn more from seminars, workshops and colleagues to maintain my proficiency in techniques and to increase my skills and knowledge to best help my clients.

Not only do I enjoy my career as a therapist, I enjoy my life with my family and friends.  We like to make food together and eat food together. Oh,  and laugh ...  a lot.

I make an effort to stay in touch with the outdoors.  I do this by visiting parks, playing in the backyard with our dog and traveling to the ocean or mountains.

Not only do I want my clients to find balance, it is important for me too.
